It’s not always a bad thing to be proven wrong.

In a 2009 interview with Stephen Merchant, Louis C.K. dissed the concept of wannabe actors who asked the celebrity guests about becoming famous on Inside the Actors Studio.

“There’s no way you ask Sean Penn a question and you’re gonna be huge,” he said.

Little did he know, his future American Hustle costar Bradley Cooper, actually did ask Sean Penn a question that the show in 1999.

But good thing Louis C.K. was wrong about Bradley Cooper because otherwise we wouldn’t have what’s arguably the best part of American Hustle that easily doubles as irony.
