InfoWars personality and host Alex Jones said that the school shooting last week, in which a former student killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, was organized by globalists following the release of the House Intelligence Committee’s FISA memo.

Jones says that in the week preceding the mass shooting, he predicted “more than 10 times on air” that there would be a “new Oklahoma City attack on a church, a school, or a federal building blamed on right-wing terrorists” and that comments made at the time by Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) were evidence of that.

“You had Congressman Schiff, you had senators, you had globalist operatives, MSNBC, CNN saying there’s going to be massacres if you release the memo. You’re gonna cause right-wingers to kill us.

Democrats and Republicans had been fighting ahead of the release of a controversial and hyped intelligence memo written by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), which alleged surveillance powers abuse during the 2016 election against the Trump campaign by the Obama administration.

Rep. Schiff (D-Calif.) had opposed the release as irresponsible, suggesting that going public with the memo would damage confidentiality, harm the willingness of citizens to report suspicious behavior, and may result in an increase in domestic terrorism.

“Sources of information are going to dry up,” Rep. Schiff had said Feb. 2 on MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show. “If you have a neighbor next door who is buying a lot of fertilizer and it seems odd because they don’t have a yard, are you going to think twice because if they get a search warrant for your neighbor and something is politicized, the political winds change and there’s an investigation, your identity is going to be revealed. Because you really can’t trust that this is going to be kept confidential anymore.”

Jones has connected these comments with an unproven assertion that there were multiple shooters and reports that the arrested gunman Nikolaz Cruz was known to the FBI—concluding that there is a more elaborate conspiracy afoot involving “the elites” who allowed it to happen.

“I’m not saying this is a false flag but [Democrats have] been talking about massacres and things if people don’t leave them alone, and release the memo. So, if there are massacres and they keep threatening massacres, that makes them suspects when they’ve been threatening massacres,” he said on The Alex Jones Show.

Later, a news report which alleged the school shooter’s affiliation with a white supremacist group was taken by Jones as an affirmation that his theory was correct.

“Wow,” he continued, “we said the perfect false flag would be a white nationalist attacking a multicultural school as a way to make the leftists all look like victims and bring in gun control and a war on America’s recovery and now right on time what we’ve been warning of, their main card, the thing we said was imminent, appears with all the evidence.”

The Florida school shooting, however, is the just the latest in a string of tragic incidents that Jones has claimed were fake or orchestrated by the government.

The Infowars host has pointed to mass shootings in Aurora, Colorado; Las Vegas, Nevada; San Bernardino, California, and Orlando, Florida as conspiracies. Themes emerge in almost every one of these incidences, such as the appearance of so-called “crisis actors” and pretend victims for media appearances.

Most infamously, and shockingly, Jones has claimed that the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, which left 26 people dead including 20 children, never happened at all—a conspiracy that has resulted in the harassment of the grieving families of those killed.
