The promotional website from ‘You’ve Got Mail’ still exists

As is customary, in the lead up to 1998 romantic comedy You’ve Got Mail, a promotional website was erected to generate interest in the film. That website remains, apparently untouched, to this day.

Here one can download wallpapers, send webcards, download a Real Audio file that feature screenwriter Nora Ephron explain the film in what is basically a primitive podcast, tour the Upper West Side that serves as a backdrop for the film, and enjoy detailed profiles of ancillary characters like Frank Navasky and Kevin Scanlon. 

God damn I love this movie.
