YouTube videos: now with less badness!

Shaky, dark YouTube videos were awesomely cool and authentic ... in 2006. Now the site is giving people tools to fix their clips.

Mountain bikers, acrobats, and spelunkers will all now have an easier time sharing videos online without inducing Cloverfield-style nausea in viewers. YouTube’s latest addition to its video editor reduces shakiness and adds light to an uploaded video.

When a user uploads a video whose quality can be improved, YouTube will now automatically ask the user if he or she wants added stabilization and light.
