Tottenham Hotspur is coming off a long international break, which might be a good thing, as it gives the team a chance to cool off after a wild, fierce 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out. Tottenham Hotspur vs. Crystal Palace: What to watch for
Spurs and Arsenal delivered on the reputation of their rivalry in the recent draw. Certainly, Spurs rue losing a two-goal lead and settling for the draw. The result leaves them ninth in the standings, with only two points from nine after their season-opening win. The good news is that Harry Kane converted a penalty to make it three goals in four matches to start his campaign.
For Crystal Palace, the surprising start to the season was buoyed by a 1-0 win over Aston Villa in its latest Premier League match. Jordan Ayew scored the match-winner, and while the 2-1 win over Manchester United is still Palace’s signature win of the season—and could be for some time—knocking off Villa at home was still a solid continuation of what it’s put together so far. Getting at least an away result against Spurs would be even more impressive.
