Happy Presidents Day! Now celebrate with a video.

As an esteemed Internet citizen (you read the Daily Dot after all),  you know that today also calls for the watching of the animated Animaniac’s “Presidents” song. The 90’s cult classic cartoon created by Warner Brothers lives on, on YouTube, despite the show ending in 1998.

The watching of the Animaniac’s “Presidents”  has been an annual tradition among online users since at least 2009, when both the Chicago Tribune and Fark linked to the video in celebration of this day. (And any Internet meme historian knows, three years in real time is the equivalent of at least 1,000 Internet years.) The tradition might even be as old as 2007, when the original copy of the Animaniac’s song was uploaded to YouTube.

On Twitter, hundreds of users as well as other media outlets have already linked to the video. To be fair, it’s the only topical, and humorous video for today’s bank holiday. To date, the video has been viewed more than 3.7 million times by loving fans.

“My teacher said if anyone can learn this song & sing it then he’ll give us extra credit :),” wrote
