Basil was at a workshop hosted by French dancer Babson Baba Sy when he realized who she was and beckoned her forward. She put on a two minute-long dance routine in front of the group, as her classmates cheered on.

“Toni Basil, I was honored to participate in the workshop,” Sy wrote in a Facebook post. “Thank you to her for this gift… I took the biggest slap of humility by a septuagenarian artist.”
