“I love you girls more than my vocabulary will allow me to express,” the rapper, whose name is Clifford Harris Jr., wrote. “You have grown so much right before my very eyes & blossomed into strong, brilliantly opinionated, independent young women. … Please forgive me for any and all imperfections that cause misunderstandings between us.”

Bustle reports the post may be inspired by the deaths of the NBA legend and his daughter, as Harris previously grieved their deaths in a series of Instagram posts.

“As a father I can’t even imagine,” he wrote. “Love hard on your children & family & live everyday like your last.”

He followed up the tributes with a series of tributes to his own family members.

Although Harris did not name what he needs to be forgiven for, the post comes a few months after Harris told the Ladies Like Us podcast, in an episode titled “Life Hacks,” that he takes his daughter Deyjah Harris to the gynecologist on a yearly basis to ensure that her hymen is still intact.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has previously called for an end to virginity testing due to inaccuracy, and Planned Parenthood subtweeted Harris about it.

“Idk who needs to hear this but virginity is a made-up social construct, and it has absolutely nothing to do with your hymen,” Planned Parenthood tweeted at the time.

One of his daughters, Zonnique Harris, replied to the post with, “I love you pops.” Deyjah, who unfollowed her father after he publicly made the comments about her hymen, has not yet responded to the post.
