England vs Belgium: Preview
England returns to the Nations League on Sunday, in the first big matchup of its group with Belgium. Three Lions defeated Iceland in September but could only manage a draw against Denmark, before they trounced rivals Wales 3-0 on Thursday in a friendly.
Belgium has looked much better than England this season, defeating Denmark on the road and obliterating Iceland 5-1 at home. Belgium’s October break is not off to a good start, however. The Red Devils drew 1-1 at home to Ivory Coast, thanks to an 87th minute Franck Kessié penalty. Belgium’s heavy hitters did not start, but certainly should on Sunday when the team has a chance to open up a five-point lead over England in group A4.
