Simone Biles is a disciplined, poised gymnast—but that doesn’t mean, under the right circumstances, she can’t get downright silly.
On Thursday, Biles posted a video on Instagram after just having had her wisdom teeth removed. She’s seen flailing about, possibly trying to sing, and in an overall loopy state from anesthesia.

It’s adorable and funny—and in it bears almost no semblance to the serious, graceful gymnast who has won four Olympic gold medals and made it to the semifinals of Dancing With the Stars.
“wisdom teeth = gone 🙇🏾♀️ ps I have a funny video to share with y’all ! haha” she wrote along with a photo showing her with her sister Adria just after the procedure.

Shortly after, she shared the video of her just waking up.
“after wisdom teeth !! no words😂 haha! ENJOY! hope yall get a good laugh!!” she wrote.

The 2017 ESPYs Best Female Athlete is taking some time off training to travel, promote sponsorships, and encourage young female athletes.
Biles recently clapped back on Twitter to an Instagram commenter who said it looks like she just parties all the time.
“Talk to me when you train for 14 years and earn 5 Olympic medals. I think kids would say otherwise. My year off is well deserved! Take a couple seats,” she wrote.

She’ll resume training in the fall. Meanwhile, she said she looked forward to her dad filming her post-wisdom teeth removal.
“Like when I’m all loopy. It’ll be funny, but in all seriousness, I’m actually excited to get my wisdom teeth out so I can just be at home with family,” the gymnast told People.
Biles has been outspoken about having ADHD and being adopted. She’s human like the rest of us—just with more Olympic medals and probably a funnier wisdom teeth video.
