Politicians are invading Reddit, and it all begins at the site’s live-interview section, r/IAmA.

A week after Rob Zerban raised $15,000 thanks, in large part, to a post on Reddit, two more political long-shots have taken redditor’s questions at r/IAmA: Buddy Roemer, a former Republican Louisiana governor and Republican presidential candidate, and Mike Scala, a Democrat running for congress in New York City.

Those two interview sessions came out near the top of this week’s most popular live interviews. They were hardly the most entertaining of the week, however. That title goes to Megan Ganz, a writer for the NBC sitcom Community, who regaled Reddit over the weekend with tales of behind-the-scenes hilarity.

Also answering Reddit’s this week were the star of the emo-goth meme and a guy who lives in a house full of slides. That’s right: A house. Full of slides.

Below, we’ve compiled the top seven posts (seven being our lucky number) from Reddit’s r/IAmA this week, as voted by redditors themselves. We’ve also included a sample question and answer from each. For the complete list, check here.

A note on terminology: AMA stands for “ask me anything,” while “IAmA” is simply “I am a;” AMAA means “ask me almost anything.”

1. IAMA writer for the NBC show Community and former associate editor of The Onion named Megan Ganz, AMA

Q: How confident are you of a fourth season? (chubbsfromTeenWolf)

A: Reasonably? I think there are so many factors at play (mostly beyond my understanding) that worrying doesn’t make a lot of sense. It’s like worrying you might get hit by a bus; is that any excuse not to live?

2. I’m Mike Scala, IAmA candidate running for Congress to unseat a 12-year incumbent. AMA.

Q: If you could pass just one law during your tenure (assuming your elected) what would it be? (Tony2times2times)

A: I would pass a constitutional amendment overturning the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision. Corporations would no longer be allowed to use the “independent expenditure” loophole to spend unlimited amounts of money on elections. If we can put the power in the people’s hands, the rest will fall into place.

3. I am an 18 year old boy who lives in a house that has slides from floor to floor

The best exchange from thsi thread had nothing to do with the poster. It’s as follows (NSFW language).

Q: does it feel weird to take a slide when you’re in a bad mood or having a fight with someone?

A: “You fucking asshole I can’t believe you cheated on me with my sister.”
“Bitch you fucked my boss!”
“Get the fuck out!”
“Whatever I’m out.”
…..
goes down slide

walks back upstairs
“Forgot my hat”
goes down slide again (Nostrangertolove)

4. IAMA 2012 GOP Presidential Candidate. I believe in Fair Trade, No Tax Loopholes, No Special Interests, Energy Innovation & Independence. $100 Donation Limit. I am Buddy Roemer. AMA

Q: Do you believe that we have a moral duty to give all people health care when they need it? If so, how do you propose we pay for this needed health care? (serious_black)

A: I love to say yes but the issue is paying for it. I will work two ways to make it affordable and available. 1) I will clean out the special interests 2) I would lower the costs of healthcare by putting insurance companies under the Sherman antitrust act and allowing you to buy insurance anywhere in America as you do not have that right. I would also reduce tort reform to reduce the number of lawsuits. I will force pharmaceutical companies to compete; they would no longer be protected by the law. Obama began with lawyers and hospitals; I will begin with the patients and nurses. We start at different places; I will end up with a better system.

5. Competitive Eater Takeru Kobayashi Answers Your Questions

View Kobayashi’s video responses below.

6. IAmA guy who has two of my pictures used to create popular memes without my knowledge. AMAA

Q: How did you react when you found out you were a meme? (jshou)

A: First time, I was a little angry, little outraged, but not over reactive.
Second time, it was pretty much “lol, internet”.

7. IAMA single man who recently adopted a 14-year-old “emotionally disturbed” boy. AMAA

Q: What made you decide to adopt, and why that specific child?

A: I have always enjoyed working with youth. Around age 16, I started working with the younger kids at church and one of the local cub scout packs. I was also a very sought-after babysitter. You had to book me weeks in advance.

As for my son, we were matched after I had inquired about around 50 other kids. Getting past the stigma of being a single male was very difficult.
