A source said the 32-year-old hip-hop artist was in critical condition. Rapper Yo Gotti, a longtime rival, has been named as a person of interest in the shooting, according to TMZ. The two reportedly stayed at the same L.A. hotel, and the shooting came after their crews clashed.

Young Dolph, whose real name is Adolph Thortnton Jr., had just arrived from Austin, Texas, after a Monday concert. He had a performance scheduled in Los Angeles for Thursday.

For some, finding out Dolph got shot was too much to handle after several breaking stories throughout an eventful Tuesday.

If Dolph pulls through from this incident, some of his fans are expecting epic new songs to be dropped.

This wasn’t the first time Dolph has been a victim of gun violence. In February the artist was reportedly shot at more than 100 times in Charlotte, North Carolina, while in his SUV. The rapper was able to walk away from that incident without any injuries, and even performed later that night with Migos and 21 Savage. Yo Gotti was likewise rumored to be involved in the incident.

The day after the North Carolina shooting, Dolph tweeted “u loose” with a laughing emoji. Shortly after the incident, he released a new song, “100 Shots,” ahead of April album Bulletproof.
