It’s official: Sir Patrick Stewart had the balls to get married.
Since joining Twitter in June 2012, the legendary actor’s profile image has been a photo showing him swimming in colorful plastic balls.
On September 7, Stewart tied the knot with his girlfriend of over three years, jazz singer Sunny Ozell. Sir Ian McKellan, Stewart’s co-star in three X-men movies, officiated the ceremony. To share the happy news with his 600,000+ Twitter fans, he tweeted an updated version of his longtime profile image the day after the wedding.
Finally, Sir Pat Stew is no longer all alone in the ball pit.

“Yes, married” Stewart said in the tweet, which was retweeted more than 5,200 times.
Ozell is no stranger to her new husband’s Internet antics. She famously taught the actor about the concept of pizza slices, and in August 2013, she recorded an adorable YouTube video highlighting Stewart’s “quadruple take” acting method.
The marriage is the third for the 73-year-old Stewart.
