New Hanukkah classics light up YouTube

It used to be that Jewish kids had to settle for the simple, but timeless, songs for Hanukkah’s celebration of lights, which begins tonight at sundown.

There was “Hanukkah O Hanukkah” and the always memorable “I Have a Little Dreidel”—great songs to be sure.

But thanks to the magic of Internet, there are plenty of new Hanukkah classics. Here are a few of our favorites.

Happy Hanukkah–or Chanukah. Light up.

The Maccabeats “Candlelight”

The Shlomones “The Rocky Hora Chanukah Song”

Matisyahu “Miracle”

Sesame Street “Hanukkah with Veronica Monica”

Tom Lehrer “(I’m Spending) Hanukkah in Santa Monica”

Adam Sandler “The Chanukah Song”
