In merely 10 days, White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci went from firebrand mouthpiece to polishing up his LinkedIn résumé. You could say that President Donald Trump… wait for it… lost a guy in 10 days when he parted with the beleaguered official on Monday.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is a memorable, turn-of-the-century rom-com starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. This coincidence was not lost on Hudson, and so on Monday the Hollywood star posted a corresponding and timely meme.

“Box office results are in! The #1 comedy in America,” Hudson writes.

We’re fairly certain it’s the same graphic posted by Daily Dot Art Director Jason Reed, in the spirit of disclosure. We trace the idea for the joke to Twitter user Andrew Nathanson, which is where Reed took his cue to bring it to life.

Don’t remember the movie? Basically Hudson, portraying a journalist, researches a column with the same title. She aims to self-sabotage a relationship with playboy McConaughey. The twist? The Sacramento Kings make the NBA Finals.

Start the countdown now for a full-length feature about Scaramucci’s rise and fall.
