E-girls are all the rage on social media. They’re known for being attractive, alternative teens. They usually don bright-colored hair, heavy blush, fake freckles, and leather necklaces. E-girls look grown-up and childlike at the same time. The look can be cute on teens–and apparently on 33-year-old women.

YouTuber Jenna Marbles, known for her hugely-popular comedic and dress-up videos, decided to try out the trend, which is seen all over Instagram and TikTok, a popular video-sharing platform.

She applied heavy blush to the tops of her cheeks, drew on freckles and little black hearts beneath her eyes, put on a pink wig, and threw on “alternative” clothing. Marbles made sure to dress up her boyfriend, YouTuber Julien Solomita, as well.

The YouTuber said she learned how to accomplish the E-girl style by watching tutorial videos, including one from Doja Cat.

Her fans loved it.

“She’s legit a snack and a half with this makeover,” YouTube user Mia wrote on the video. (A “snack” is a compliment on social media, meaning that she looks attractive.)

Marbles’ fans also liked to poke fun about how she looked better as an E-girl than her boyfriend looked as an E-boy.

“Jenna is the ‘what you order online’ and Julien is the ‘when it arrives,'” joked Aisha Torres on YouTube.
