Jay-Z honors Chester Bennington with performance of ‘Numb/Encore’

The two collaborated on the 2004 EP 'Collision Course.'

During his V Festival performance in England Saturday night, Jay-Z honored late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington with a rare performance of their 2004 collaboration “Numb/Encore.”

“Can you guys light it up tonight for Chester?” he asked the Stafford crowd. “Linkin Park, one time, tonight. Please make some noise so he can hear you all the way in heaven tonight!”

The tribute came a day shy of the one-month anniversary of Bennington’s death by suicide.

Jay-Z’s six-song EP with Linkin Park, Collision Course, reached Number One on the Billboard charts and went on to become certified multi-platinum. Watch Jay-Z’s performance of the popular cut below:
