NBC has stepped up its sports game in recent years. Its Premier League soccer coverage has put it back on the sports map, but it’s excelling in a great number of sports, including golf, rugby, lacrosse, track and field, cycling, figure skating, speed skating, skiing, Indy Car racing, Supercross motorcycle racing, NASCAR, and other variants of auto racing.

If you’re been curious about subscribing to the service, this is a great time to do it. The sports world has largely shut down in response to the coronavirus pandemic, and so NBC Sports Gold is making 10 of its channels free over at least the next few weeks, via its nbcsports.com/free link.

That means past games, matches, races, and tournaments, as well as accompanying individual programming, including documentaries and shows, will be available to fill the sports void.

Premier League Pass

  • Free until April 30

Perhaps the crown jewel of NBC’s sports coverage, the Premier League is the richest and arguably best soccer league in the world. The league’s big six teams are all huge global brands, and there are internationally-known players throughout the league’s 20 team field. For American fans, NBC Sports Gold is essential for getting coverage of all the matches, as well as access to past classic matches.

But you get more than matches when you have NBC Sports Gold. You get access to Sky Sports, one of the most respected British sports sources around, the weekly The Big Interview series (featuring interviews with some of the league’s most engaging personalities), and weekly installments of Men in Blazers, a comedic romp through the world of soccer from Roger Bennett and Michael Davies, two able ambassadors for the sport.

NBC Sports Gold touts 150 pieces of long-form content on the channel, including

  • Dozens of classic matches and full-event replays from select 2019-20 matches
  • More than 50 episodes of Premier League World
  • Twelve episodes of Gary Neville’s Soccerbox
