Watford vs. Liverpool: Recent form, summary of last match, odds, upcoming fixtures

Liverpool (Last 5 Premier League matches: WWWWW), in 2019-20, has zero left to prove, only records to break. Aside from being on the cusp of their first title in the Premier League era, the Reds also have a chance to break the record for most wins in a season (32), most points in a season (100), biggest title-winning margin (19 points) and most consecutive wins (18). On that last one, the Reds are currently tied for the record with Man City’s 2018-19 season. LFC has already set the record for most consecutive home wins, with 21 league wins in a row dating back to February 9th, 2019.

Watford (Last 5 Premier League matches: DLLDL) is the next opponent for this Klopp behemoth, and the best thing the Hornets have going for them is how hard it is for its opponent to win this many games without slipping once. All of the arguments for Watford to win this game are conspiracy theories at best, but in this sport, you always have a puncher’s chance, in particular as the home team. Even a point against these champions-elect would be as good as ten, in terms of what it could do for the squad’s confidence.

Odds

According to the DraftKings Sportsbook oddsmakers (as of Feb. 28):

  • Liverpool, -250 (wager $250 to win $100)
  • Watford, +750 (wager $100 to win $750)
  • Draw, +375 (wager $100 to win $375)

Upcoming Fixtures

Watford, Saturday, March 7 at Crystal Palace (Premier League)

Liverpool, Tuesday, March 3 at Chelsea (FA Cup); Saturday, March 7 vs. AFC Bournemouth (Premier League)
