What is CBSN?
CBSN is a 24-hour news service that, by itself, gives wall-to-wall coverage of live events and deeper explorations of the issues of the day.
But it’s more than just one news channel: There are eight separate channels geared toward major markets, including New York, Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay Area. There’s also CBS Sports HQ, which provides complete sports coverage, and ET Live, which handles the world of entertainment. Here’s how to stream it.

CBS All Access
CBS All Access is the network’s official entry into the streaming arena, and set the tone for other major networks launching their own streaming services. (Looking at you, Peacock.) CBS All Access anchors itself in the vast CBS show library, going into TV history as well as relying on the Star Trek series and the crime dramas that help define it today. It also has a selection of movies tied to Paramount’s ownership by CBS parent Viacom. It’s also a destination for live events like the annual Grammy Awards, and it’s becoming a destination for live sports fans. The 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup and a new role as Champions League soccer host makes it a legitimate player in sports programming.

Pluto TV
Pluto TV is a free internet TV service that provides users with the same sort of experience provided to subscribers of paid streaming services like Sling, Fubo, and Hulu. Pluto doesn’t offer you all the channels you might expect from a streaming service, but you will see a lot of familiar options alongside some upstart channels you’ve never heard of before.
CBSN (and the Los Angeles and New York CBSN channels) are part of a news lineup that also includes NBC News, CNN, Bloomberg TV, and Cheddar News.

Navigating to the CBSN website will get you to the default national live feed, but there’s a menu that will allow you to navigate to any of the other channels in the CBSN collection of channels, including:

Note that not all the local affiliates are 24/7; those channels will default to the main CBSN feed when not airing their own content.

If you have Roku, you already know there are a number of channels you can access through the Channel Store, including some intriguing news options.
