Amazon is getting short(s).

The streaming site has joined forces with comedy outlet Funny or Die to create original content in the form of three new shorts, via Amazon Video Direct. Brian Toombs, vice president of partner content for Funny Or Die, said its “comedy has really resonated with the Amazon audience.”

FoD went the short route based on the popularity of original series like Between Two Ferns and newer ventures like Justin Long’s social media parody The Real Stephen Blatt, which debuted exclusively through Amazon Prime.

And Amazon Video Direct, the site’s self-upload program, has been already putting out quality content. Jane Lynch won a Short Form Emmy for Dropping the Soap, a comedy series that debuted via AVD.

The shorts include “Soojung Dreams of Fiji,” a “documentary satire about first generation Korean-American Soojung Yoon, a renowned nail salon owner;” “Lovebirds,” about a “lonely young man who buys a bird feeder to attract birds to the window of his studio apartment;” and “The Jury,” which explores what happens when people waiting for jury duty collectively experience a bad smell.

The shorts debut Nov. 10 on Amazon.
