If you needed a reason to write to your state representative, Community actor Donald Glover has one for you: Save his show!

The actor of the NBC cult-favorite comedy released a one-minute public service announcement to save the show which has been on hiatus since December. The video was made in conjunction with MTV Canada last week but started making the rounds on Thursday, becoming a top post on Reddit.

When the show, if ever, returns is unclear, hence Glover’s somber voice in the PSA.

[The hiatus] is having a large effect on not only America, not only Canada, but the world … People have stopped laughing, bees have stopped making honey, no ones died in 48 hours. … Everything is at a stand still.

“If there is anyway you guys can get Community back on the air, that would be great,” Glover added. He also suggested, perhaps seriously, that fans contact their governor or district leader to get the show back on the air.

Comments in the video have been filled with rabid supporters of the show and slammed other NBC comedies (like Whitney and Are You There, Chelsea?) that have taken away possible time for the show’s return.

“When a show isn’t doing well the most retarded thing you can do is putting the show on “indefinite hiatus”. This wont help NBC or the show in any way!” wrote WelcomeGhostsIV.

Maybe this PSA will diffuse the situation just a bit.
