Last year, Hulu made a big Super Bowl push with The Handmaid’s Tale. This year it’s doing the same with Castle Rock.

The original series is set in the connected Stephen King universe, and a new trailer, which Hulu released ahead of its Super Bowl debut, threads it all together. Death row attorney Henry Deaver (Moonlight‘s André Holland) gets a call from Shawshank, the prison from The Shawshank Redemption. After that, it’s a roller coaster of references: Scott Glenn as Alan Pangborn, the sheriff from Needful Things; Bill Skarsgård (It) as a Shawshank inmate; Sissy Spacek (Carrie) facing down a German shepherd that’s overstepped its boundaries, like in Gerald’s Game (or Cujo). And there’s a shot of blood swirling down a drain that will give you another It flashback.

And of course it’s set in Maine, King’s preferred setting for small-town horror.

The series is set for release in summer 2018.
