President Barack Obama is briefed by experts on an assortment of topics everyday, but he’s already got a couple of social media experts right in his own home: his daughters.

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, he explained how he learned about Snapchat from his daughter Sasha after reading about its popularity. He already knows about tweeting, despite the limited capabilities of his own iPhone, but Snapchat was an entirely new thing for him.

“I started talking to Michelle about the implications of social media and what all this means,” Obama said. “Come to find out [Sasha] was recording us the whole time, and then sent to her friends afterwards: ‘This is my dad lecturing us on the meaning of social media.’ And she took a picture of herself sort of looking bored.”

Chances are, he were already being snapped well before that.
