After Adele canceled one of her sold out tour stops in Phoenix due to illness, she sent her fans a touching apology.

These things happen. Touring can be wildly unpredictable and often artists try to push through something like a cold. But as Adele explained, sometimes you can push yourself too hard and you need to take the time to take care of yourself.

She shared the one-minute video across her social media channels and apologized to fans for canceling the show, especially those who were set to attend the Phoenix concert. It’s something she doesn’t like to do but she needed to make sure she got better.

“My cold has gotten the better of me, and as you can hear, even if I did the show it wouldn’t be very good,” she said.

She’s promised to reschedule her concert in Phoenix, so Adele fans will eventually get to see her perform live once she’s recovered.
