Charles Dion McDowell, aka the guy whose mug shot went viral and earned him the internet nickname of “Wide Neck,” has been arrested again, according to BroBible.
McDowell was arrested in his hometown of Pensacola, Florida, on Wednesday after a judge revoked the bond for his original arrest. He’ll be forced to sit in jail until he goes to court for charges including possession of meth, cocaine, and marijuana with intent to sell, as well as fleeing police.
McDowell’s management released these details in an Instagram post from McDowell’s account.

A groundswell of support—and jokes—regarding McDowell rose up online after a mugshot of him made rounds on Twitter and other social media in November. While McDowell isn’t smiling for this new mugshot, the neck that skyrocketed him to viral fame is still there and as wide as ever.

Following the social media reactions, McDowell fully embraced his short-term celebrity status. The reach for fame reached its apex when McDowell collaborated with fellow unusual neck-haver David “Long Neck” Samuelson Jr. for a video in which the two meet and proclaim “all necks matter.” This was followed up by a music video for “Neckst Big Thing.” released exclusively by rap music video and fight compilation purveyor World Star Hip Hop.
Currently, McDowell has no opportunity for bond. Despite this, the #FreeWideNeck movement seems to have revived.
