Ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, some have urged people not to watch him being sworn in for a variety of reasons. But for those who can’t or won’t watch, a bunch of patriotic dogs are swearing in the next pug-in-chief in style.

Today we have the inauguration but we also have the Indoguration, a celebration of the peaceful transfer of power between canines. Hosted by the Attack on Twitch, it’s a three-hour live stream of political pups and canines waiting for the swearing-in of Dognald J. Trump, “a beautiful pug with large paws, with lineage tracing back to the House of Stuart.” Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Pooper are on hand to commentate, and many of the other furry guests set to attend have just as delightful dog and cat pun names including President Barrottweiler Obama, Speaker Paw Ryan, and Russian President Catamir Putin.

The livestream, which began at 9:30am ET on Twitch, will continue until 12:30pm ET.

“Just as The Founding Doggfathers intended, we celebrate the peaceful transition of power from one pup to the next,” the Indoguration site states. “Instead of watching the dog and pony show in Washington, watch a full-on dog show, with dogs!”

The Indoguration isn’t just providing some reprieve for those looking to take a break from politics. Funds donated during the Indoguration will benefit the Lange Foundation, a charity that aids animal rescue, care, and placement.
