A digital photo frame is worth a thousand words.
But if it’s a new Kodak Pulse digital photo frame (which allows you to directly email photos to it) it can be worth a thousand laughs.
On Thursday, trippin113 and his wife asked Reddit to email photos to their new Kodak photo frame as a sort of social experiment to see if their community was better than rage comics, memes, and cute cats.
In less than two minutes the photos started pouring in. Trippin113’s request reached the front page and collected more than 2,600 comments and 10,258 upvotes.
Trippin113 took photos of the photos using a Canon DSLR and posted them on Reddit.
All in all, the photo frame collected 3,941 pics.
Most redditors were content with seeing their photos reach the picture frame while others, like TheAethereal, felt like the whole thing was a giant advertising scheme by Kodak.
Trippin113 did not technically answer where he worked but that didn’t make a difference for most redditors, especially kurin.
“Even if it were viral marketing, would you mind? The thing about successful viral marketing is that shit goes ‘viral’ because people like it,” kurin wrote. “Similarly with this; if it turns out OP (original poster) is just showing off for Kodak, I wouldn’t care, because I could still email him a pic of my testicles, which is what really matters here.”
