The season 1 finale of Disney’s The Mandalorian features a scene that has rocked viewers around the world: Jason Sudeikis and Adam Pally, as Star Wars storm troopers, put Baby Yoda into what is effectively a saddlebag, with Sudeikis punching him. The episode was directed by Thor: Ragnaraok‘s Taika Waititi.

Many Baby Yoda fans turned on Sudeikis as quickly as the internet fell in love with the small, green alien. Others were just happy to see Sudeikis in the program at all.

Stuntman Mike is on the angry, slightly murderous side of the spectrum.

“You hit #BabyYoda again and I promise you… the entirety of the Star Wars fandom will rain upon you and destroy you and everything you hold dear,” @Stuntman_Mike1 wrote. “Act accordingly.”

Sudeikis’ history with Saturday Night Live as a cast member gives people a lot to work with. GIFs of Sudeikis which read, “I may be the Devil but I’m not a monster,” are fairly popular in threads discussing the computer-generated violence.

“Please tell me the season finale of @themandalorian is just a backdoor pilot for a spinoff about Jason Sudeikis as a sarcastic, inefficient scout trooper,” Twitter user Amy Lutz wrote.

“Two minutes of Jason Sudeikis and Adam Pally as stormtroopers was better than most of The Rise of Skywalker,” one user wrote.

It’s lear that Sudeikis should heavily weigh the decision to appear in the next installment of The Mandalorian, should the opportunity arise.
