Etsy’s full of products to suit every taste. Pinterest is full of influential tastemakers. Combine the two and you get the ultimate social shopping experience.

On Friday, the handmade marketplace introduced Etsy Guest Pinners, a new weekly feature that makes use of Pinterest group boards. Each week, Etsy will select a top Pinterest fashionista (or stylish gent, but we’re betting the ladies will dominate this feature,) to curate favorite Etsy items on a Pinterest board.

“For one week at a time, Guest Pinners will take over a board on Etsy’s Pinterest page and share their idea of inspiration: art, recipes, fashion, interiors, and, of course, their favorite Etsy finds,” Etsy blog editor Alison Feldmann wrote.

Etsy’s first Guest Pinner is Su Wu of design blog I’m Revolting. Wu has selected 63 pins in her own aesthetic, mostly from Etsy. She was probably selected thanks to her 200,000 plus Pinterest followers.

Next week’s Guest Pinner will be Elise Yetton of style blog Pennyweight, another Pinterest power user with 890,000 followers. Yetton’s pins will appear on this Etsy board.

According to Zoomsphere, Etsy is the number one traffic driver to Pinterest, beating out Flickr, Google, and even the Pinterest spammer’s choice: Amazon. Add these power pinner curators into the mix, and perhaps Etsy will get back more of the traffic it brings in.
