She couldn't believe her eyes.

In the past few months, we’ve seen geeky guys recruit celebrities and video game developers to help them propose to their girlfriends, but this latest stunt might be the geekiest of all: hacking a proposal into her favorite iPhone game.

Shawn emailed the developers behind the popular iPhone game Dots with what he called “a strange request.” His girlfriend Cassie loved playing Dots, and he wanted their help to create a modified round which would end in his proposal.

The developers couldn’t say no to Shawn. How could they resist bringing two people together with an app that has “a game about connecting” as its tagline?

With cameras rolling nearby, Cassie played her new round easily enough, but she wasn’t expecting what came after she completed it.

If there’s a proposal involving Candy Crush in the works, I’d be slightly worried.
