This week on Canvas—a new social-media platform from 4chan creator Christopher Poole—featured a smörgåsbord of cat memes, Steve Jobs references, and original illustrations.

On Tuesday, the staff of the image-manipulation board announced the winner of its week-long drawing contest. Canvas user Photocopier pulled down the top prize with an illustration of a blue whale jumping out of water to snatch up some delicious cookies. Photocopier even created a GIF image of his illustration process.
In total, the contest collected more than 150 comments and submissions.
Canvas is a new social-media platform from 4chan creator Christopher Poole. Users upload photos and alter them using tools built into the website.
