If you hear an odd noise through a vent in your home, don’t worry. Maybe it’s not something gross, like a rat. It could just be a lovely and energetic cat coming to hang out and receive some affection!
A woman who goes by @brenaclifton on Twitter posted a video to her account over the weekend that shows a cat emerging from a vent on her floor. The video was captioned with a surprise revelation: “Two things: 1. I don’t have a cat………… 2. I DON’T HAVE A CAT.”

This tweet went viral, obviously. And the reactions were pretty great.
Some people suggested that Brena keep the cat.
That cat was like “look at me, look at me, you are a cat owner now.” https://t.co/KIvUzRipFz— Matthew A. Cherry (@MatthewACherry) February 25, 2018

Bad news: the cat apparently has an owner already.
It already has an owner, dang i’m so distraught— brena. (@brenaclifton) February 24, 2018
Brena’s roommate Sarah posted photos of the cat, who is named Jeffery. He belongs to a neighbor.
Well, this is one way to actually befriend your neighbors.
