She apparently took Abigail to a Medium earlier in the year.

One year ago, Abigail the Haunted Doll became a viral sensation on Twitter after her “new mommy” found her in a thrift store and decided to bring her home.

Though Twitter was convinced The Nerdy Vixen (who declines to give her real name) was not long for this world, she and Abigail have proved us wrong and are still living together in harmony.

Unless the spirit inhabiting Abigail has moved on to possessing her caretaker, that is.

Some suspect Abigail is merely playing the “long game” (if she’s not full-on possessing her “mother”), perhaps even an avatar of the apocalypse cackling her way through the last year from her cushy new apartment.

However, The Daily Dot asked The Nerdy Vixen if she’d had particularly bad luck since adopting Abigail and she told us, “None that I could attribute to her.”

Furthermore, she apparently took Abigail to a Medium, and while there may be a “lingering spirit” attached to her she apparently doesn’t mean any harm. Abigail is just happy to have a home!

Then again, that’s exactly what she would say if it was the doll speaking through her, wouldn’t she?
