Cosplay—the art of making and wearing costumes that resemble characters in anime, video games, and TV shows—is especially popular in the U.S. and Japan.

However, there’s a far larger global community of cosplayers than you might think.

Since costumers often wear unnaturally colored contacts and wigs, it can be difficult to see just how multicultural the cosplay community is. That’s why Jackie Delgado, a Puerto Rican woman living in Pennsylvania, started Cosplaying While Latino, a new and already popular Tumblr blog.  

“I don’t think most people know my ethnicity when I’m in cosplay,” Delgado recently told the Daily Dot. “I started this blog in order to show just how many Latino cosplayers there are.”
