Watch a drone walk a dog

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Unless there’s a hurricane passing through the neighborhood, I find walking my dogs to be a lovely, simple pleasure. They get to romp in the park and meet other pooches while I clear my head and breathe some much-needed fresh air. But forget these picturesque scenes: As with every other task that requires a human pilot, it’s time to start using drones for this.

However staged this video of a golden retriever being walked by a remotely piloted AR Drone really is, there’s no denying that lazier pet owners would be willing to give it a try. Especially if engineers devise a way for it to pick up dog poop. (Retractable claw, maybe?)

Sadly, we’ve yet to see a drone that can keep your cat from clawing the furniture.
