Google’s intelligent calendar application is now available for the iPhone. Google Calendar is the iPhone’s counterpart to the completely revamped app launched for Android in November.

It’s got some nifty features: Google’s app will automatically create appointments based on your emails, and its “assist” feature auto-populates suggestions you use the most. Google Calendar also pulls in events from the calendars you already have set up on your iPhone.

Because Google Calendar pulls data from your emails, whenever your plans change for a particular event, the app automatically updates them in the calendar. So if your flight is late or your hotel room changes, you won’t have to input that yourself.

The clean design also features a schedule view that holds maps of where you’re going, avatars of the people you’re meeting up with, or illustrations of particular events like “drinks.”

Google’s new app is a welcome addition to the small handful of effective iOS calendar applications. There are a number of free and paid “Google Calendar” applications in the App Store, but none that provide the comprehensive features of Google’s official app. (If you’re looking for an alternative, we like Sunrise.)

You can download Google Calendar today.
