In the wake of sweeping protests confronting his presidential campaign, Donald Trump threatened to send his own supporters to disrupt the campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt).

Trump events, which often attract large and boisterous crowds, have increasingly seen individuals engage in violence as throngs of protesters meet crowds of Trump supporters.

A recent Chicago rally was cancelled due to thousands of protesters disrupting the event. Trump blamed Sanders for the incidents and threatened to arrest all the protesters in an effort to “ruin their lives.”

On Saturday, Secret Service agents jumped on stage at a Trump event to shield the candidate when protesters came too close to the stage.

Trump’s remarks on Twitter immediately attracted a backlash. But the candidate is not known for caring too much what Twitter critics say.
