Here’s a statistic that Gallup won’t release: more people are searching for Barack Obama than Mitt Romney on Search.xxx.

On ICM Registry’s newly launched search engine for everything porn, the president’s name has racked up 14 searches, according to a spokeswoman. That doubles the number of times people searched Mitt Romney’s name on the site, which ticks in at seven times. Also, the term “Ann Romney horse” was searched for three times, probably because of her known equestrian interests.

But it’s the ghost of Sarah Palin’s past that is haunting us all. Horny browsers searched her name more than 40 times. A parody porno filmed aptly titled “Who’s Nailin’ Paylin” triggered 15 searches on the search engine alone.

Searches for all of the candidates first registered in mid-October but all of them have experienced an uptick of curious users in the past two days.

Purveyors from the porn industry are hoping for a big Obama win—they are backing the Democratic incumbent over Romney 5 to 1. According to a survey from XBIZ.net, an adult industry newsletter, 68 percent of the 339 people surveyed are voting for Obama. Romney trails with 13 percent of the porn industry vote.

The landslide of favoritism for Obama doesn’t surprise adult studio Vivid Entertainment CEO Steven Hirsch.

“The results aren’t really surprising because most people involved with the adult industry have a liberal view of government and how it should work,” Hirsch said in a press release. “Social issues are more important than fiscal issues and they will support a candidate who shares their beliefs.”
