The Lelo Dot’s soft bendable tip gives you pinpoint control of your orgasms

When I think of luxury sex toys, the first name that comes to mind is Lelo. On the cutting edge of technology and uniquely designed adult pleasure products since 2002, Lelo’s name has become synonymous with all things luxury pleasure. Recently, they released their latest addition to their line of luxe products, the Lelo Dot—allowing you to master the orgasmic multiverse with a single dot.

Does the Lelo Dot live up to the legacy of pleasure Lelo has built? Let’s dive in.

How to use the Lelo Dot

A woman reclining with her eyes closed holding a lilac Lelo Dot to her chest.

Like all Lelo toys, the Dot comes nicely packaged in three pastel colors—pink, aqua, or lilac. It comes with a USB charging cable, a sample pack of lube, and a storage bag. One of the first things I always notice about Lelo’s toys is how soft the silicone feels, almost like silk if it could somehow be silkier. A fantastic feature of this item is the ergonomic loop handle. Sometimes, I struggle with my grip, so having this built-in way to hold the toy comfortably at different angles is a plus.

Once I got the Dot all charged up and ready to go, I cycled through the eight vibration settings to try to get a feel for what I could look forward to experiencing—plus, I like to know how all the bells and whistles work before I get down to brass tacks. There are three buttons on the Dot—the power button in the middle and a plus and minus on either side—very simple and easy to remember when you’re ready to play.

It’s up to you how you want to position the Dot on your body and where. I found the type of stimulation it provides felt nice on my nipples, and Lelo recommends using it on your neck as well (it didn’t do anything for me there), and of course, it’s meant to be used on your clitoris, so that’s where I concentrated.

The Dot can be positioned in several ways, draping your hand over your mons, so the tip comes into contact with your clitoris in a flat position, which also allows you to bend your wrist and press the tip onto your clit if you choose. You could turn it sideways and get broader coverage, but keep in mind the vibrations are concentrated in the tip of this toy. (However, if they’re too much for your body, this is a great way to diffuse them.)

Because of the toy’s design and the awesome ergonomic loop handle, it’s truly a one-handed item so you can easily use your other hand to provide some internal stimulation while using it. It’s also perfect for use during coupled play, as it is designed to fit between two bodies nicely.

What does the Lelo Dot bring to your sexual experience?

According to Lelo, the Dot is a clitoral pinpoint vibrator used externally that allows for multiple orgasms. Traditional vibrators may numb the area around the clitoris and, more often than not, prevent you from experiencing multiple orgasms. But, thanks to its soft and bendable tip and revolutionary elliptical motion, the Dot offers climaxing with unmatched precision.

Instead of moving in circles, the Dot follows an elliptical trajectory that allows constant and pleasant surprises by simply shifting the angle of the toy. In layperson’s terms, it moves in a figure-eight pattern wherever you’re using it, instead of the traditional buzz or rumble of most sex toys.

Because all the power is concentrated in a bendable soft silicone tip, the Dot allows for a precise and highly focused approach to self-pleasure. The Dot delivers intuitive strength and intensity, depending on the applied pressure and angle of use. Lelo recommends experimenting with different positions to see which angle suits you and your body best.

Their press release promised “complete elimination of post-orgasm numbness and saturation,” and I did not personally experience this. Your mileage may vary, of course, but for me, after two orgasms in about 30 minutes with this toy, I was done. I wasn’t numb, which is incredible, but getting where I needed to be was more tedious than my usual experiences with my wand or clitoral suction toy.

Pros of the Lelo Dot

  • Absolute precision — The pinpoint shape lets you meticulously stimulate any erogenous zone using the soft and bendable tip to steer the oscillations.
  • Eight powerful pleasure settings — The Dot offers eight different vibration patterns, varying in intensity from a teasing murmur to a satisfying pulse.
  • Elliptical movement — Elliptical movement for a completely new unique sensation, reinventing orgasms as we know them.
  • Ultra-soft silicone — Ultra-smooth premium silicone that’s extra soft to the touch. Lelo’s classic body-safe silicone design allows for deeply fulfilling and hygienic pleasure.

Cons of the Lelo Dot

  • Intuitive Motor — I’ve noticed this in the past in other toys with Lelo’s intuitive technology, sometimes when you move the toy and apply a little too much pressure, the motor stops for a moment. This can interrupt your pleasure-seeking, but not for long and it comes right back on.
  • Pinpoint stimulation — This can be a con at times, as the focus can become too much, especially after you’ve already orgasmed the first time. Easily remedied by not using the toy after the first orgasm, but where’s the fun in that?!

The Bottom Line

I won’t say this is my new favorite sex toy, but I also won’t say it’s going at the back of the closet either. For someone who enjoys variety, the Lelo Dot is definitely fun and something I’ll enjoy for years to come, thanks to Lelo’s 10-year warranty and exceptional quality. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for newbie sex toy users as it does take some getting used to, but for long-time toy connoisseurs who love trying something new and crave variety? It’s a surefire win.
