The trailer for ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ is more popular than ‘Star Wars’

People are really, really hyped for Thor: Ragnarok.

The film’s first trailer racked up 136 million views in 24 hours, breaking the previous records for Marvel and Disney trailers, held by Captain America: Civil War and Beauty and the Beast.

Marvel Studios movies are always popular, but no one was really expecting Thor 3 to garner this much attention. The last Thor movie, Thor: The Dark World, has already vanished into the annals of forgettable superhero movie history. But apparently director Taika Waititi struck gold, because fans are going wild for Ragnarok‘s combination of funny one-liners and 1980s arcade game aesthetics. (And Cate Blanchett wearing a gigantic pair of antlers.)

So, in the very specific subcategory of online trailer views, Thor: Ragnarok is now more popular than Star Wars.
