With just a month left before Rogue One debuts in theaters on Dec. 16, Lucasfilm is not making the wait any easier.

A new featurette for Rogue One takes us behind the scenes for a gorgeous look at the new movie. While some of us have been following every detail about the film for the past year (we’re guilty as charged), the featurette reaches out to more casual fans, explaining what they can expect.

The video also gives us a taste of just how painstakingly director Gareth Edwards and the rest of the production crew have tied Rogue One into Episode IV: A New Hope, the very first film in the megafranchise.

Rogue One tells the story of a group of Rebels that go on a dangerous mission to steal the plans for the Death Star just before Luke, Leia, and the rest of our beloved Star Wars heroes come on the scene. It’s Lucasfilm’s first live-action stand-alone Star Wars film that occurs outside of the standard episodic timeline.

Rogue One‘s cast, including Felicity Jones who stars in the film as Jyn Erso, seems just as excited as we are to see the new film. Is it December yet?
