The new Batman movie is now in production, and director Matt Reeves just posted a video of Robert Pattinson testing out the new batsuit. What does it look like? Well, it looks like a batsuit. It’s also shot in characteristically gloomy lighting so you can’t see everything, but you can definitely glean a few details.

With a soundtrack from composer Michael Giacchino, the video shows a head-and-shoulders view of the new batsuit, modeled by Pattinson’s unbelievably sharp jawline—a crucial element for any new Batperson, we’re sure you’ll agree.

A lot of fans have already noticed that the bat symbol is made from parts of a handgun, most likely the gun that killed Bruce Wayne’s parents. The guy loves symbolism!

There are still elements of tactical armor around the chest, but the overall style does look different from the suits we saw on Ben Affleck and Christian Bale. The shape of the collar and the cowl look a lot more costume-y, for one thing. In particular, you’ll notice stitching around the nose and jaw, meaning this isn’t the kind of practical helmet you see in a lot of modern superhero redesigns. If this is indeed the final batsuit they’ll use in the movie, then it looks like they’re going back to a more old-school costume with a leather cowl, like the Michael Keaton era where his rubber mask was all for show and didn’t really provide any protection.
