Popcorn popping in slow-motion might just blow your mind

Everything looks cooler in slow-motion, and popcorn is no different.

The YouTube channel Warped Perception took a Phantom v2512 Ultra High-Speed Camera at 30,000 frames per second to a couple kernels of corn as they were heated up and… wow. 

The explosion, the steam release, the bursts of color: It is a beautiful sight. It genuinely looks like something that belongs on Planet Earth

Previously, the group filmed popcorn popping at 15,000 fps, and while you may think that is only half as cool as the video above, you’d be wrong. It is equally fascinating.
