Adorable video shows how ‘Okja’ made its giant pig come to life

Netflix recently posted an awesome clip that gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the visual effects that went into bringing Okja to life—and boy did it take a ton of work.

The movie’s special effects team went to amazing lengths to help actor An Seo-hyun (who plays Mija, the movie’s protagonist) establish a believable relationship with her digital co-star Okja—a gigantic pig she befriends in the forest.

One lucky set worker donned a giant foam-covered suit, used on the set for practice hugs and cuddles by the tiny actor. There is nothing cuter than watching little An Seo-hyun run to the foam creation, affectionately named “stuffie,” and embrace it with a wide-toothed grin.
