Twitch Prime is one of the best bargains in gaming if you’re an avid Amazon Prime customer, and it looks like Nintendo is getting in on the deal with gusto. Twitch Prime users can now earn an entire year of Nintendo Switch Online by linking their accounts. Here’s how to get yours.

How to get Nintendo Switch Online for free with Amazon Prime

First, if you’re unfamiliar with Nintendo Switch Online, it’s Nintendo’s version of PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live, letting you play the vast majority of online games like Splatoon 2 or Super Smash Bros. It also offers subscribers access to a library of classic NES games, a cloud-based save data feature that keeps your progress from being permanently lost or deleted, and other minor benefits.

The first step is making sure you’re signed up for either Twitch Prime itself or Amazon Prime. If you already have Amazon Prime, you can sign up for Twitch Prime for free. Twitch Prime is a solid deal in its own right, as it gives subscribers access to free games every month, plus exclusive content in games like Apex Legends and Fortnite.

From there, you can claim the three months of Nintendo Switch Online by going to this link. You’ll then have to wait 60 days after activating the deal, after which you can return to the same page and claim an additional nine months of Nintendo Switch Online for free. Make things easy on yourself by setting a calendar alarm on your phone or a similar app.

Unfortunately, this will only work with individual accounts, so if you’re using a family subscription plan that lets on multiple users, you can’t benefit from the freebie. If you’re already a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber, the offer just extends the date your subscription will expire.
