The internet really wishes this ‘Overwatch’ cereal was spelled differently

Are you team Luci-Ohs or Lucio-Ohs?

Popular Overwatch support hero (and resident Lucioball star) Lucio is getting his own breakfast cereal.

Originally conceived as a spray, or a decorative item Lucio could “spray” like graffiti onto areas in an Overwatch map, Blizzard joined forces with Kellogg’s to bring the cereal to life this December.

The character, a charismatic healer and powerhouse DJ in the game world, is a popular choice for players looking to support their teammates—when Mercy’s already taken, natch. Along with the cereal, Blizzard dropped a full free album of music by Lucio called Synaesthesia Auditiva. It’s available for download here.

The news broke just ahead of the official start to the BlizzCon 2018 Opening Ceremonies, where a keynote from some of Blizzard’s most important personalities kicked things off. There were several announcements, including a new hero for Overwatch and even a new Diablo game for iOS and Android, but this particular cereal announcement had folks on Twitter divided.

It all came down to one very important thing: the name of the cereal.

Yes, the cereal is called Lucio-Ohs, and not the more obvious Luci-Ohs. It would seem like a much catchier name, right? It saves you an extra syllable, and it looks way better. But bizarrely, Blizzard opted for Lucio-Ohs, and it doesn’t really seem like the internet is feelin’ it so much.

Everyone else was just happy that the cereal exists, finally.

One fan offered a potential explanation for the choice, which does make plenty of sense.

…But that doesn’t mean any of us like it, not one little bit.

What’s next? D.Va Bits?
