Kingdom Hearts 3 creator and director Tetsuya Nomura wants fans to enjoy the long-teased secret movie at the end of the upcoming game.

In a new interview with Famitsu, Nomura discussed the epilogue and secret movie, which he previously said were the biggest spoilers in the game. After the game leaked late last year, Nomura told fans the epilogue and secret movie would be released “at a later date.”

Now that Kingdom Hearts 3 is on the cusp of its Japan release, Nomura is breaking his silence on how fans can unlock the movies. Previously, Kotaku reported that “Players will need to have completed Kingdom Hearts 3 and seen the ending,” to watch the epilogue. As for the secret movie, players will need to have completed the game, watched the ending, and “fulfilled certain criteria during play,” to see it.

Fans were left to wonder what exactly that “certain criteria” was. According to Nomura’s interview with Famitsu, players will need to keep an eye out in-game for “lucky marks” shaped like Mickey. They can then use Sora’s mobile device to snap photos of the marks, racking up points toward that secret ending.

Nomura told Famitsu that the number of lucky marks needed to unlock the movie varies depending on difficulty level. Beginners will need to collect photos of each and every lucky mark. Higher difficulties require fewer marks, though Nomura was vague on the precise numbers needed.

Even though he never gave a specific number, fans now know what to look out for during gameplay. We can bet those Mickey-shaped “lucky marks” will be littering the different worlds throughout the game, so players will need to stay sharp.

When they reach that sweet, elusive movie at the end, it will all be worth it.
