Guillermo del Toro has delivered the final word on ‘Hellboy 3’

After nine years of speculation, director Guillermo del Toro has confirmed there won’t be another Hellboy movie.

Del Toro sparked rumors of Hellboy 3 last month, promising fans that he’d meet with Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and actor Ron Perlman to discuss a hypothetical sequel to Hellboy II: The Golden Army. Well, that meeting has now taken place, and it sounds like the project isn’t going ahead.

This is sad news for Hellboy fans, although the idea of another movie was always kind of a long shot. At least this way, you can get some closure instead of speculating endlessly about vague rumors of that mythical sequel.
