Elodie Yung will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Netflix‘s Defenders, sooner than many fans expected.

Following a slew of other casting announcements, the Defenders Twitter confirmed that Yung’s character Elektra would return for the team-up series.

Elektra died at the end of Daredevil‘s second season, but there was a strong implication she would soon be resurrected by the Hand, a villainous ninja cult. With Sigourney Weaver starring as an unidentified villain, an early teaser hinted that the Hand will the Defenders main enemy in the miniseries.
